The University of Nova was established in 2026 by a coalition of scholars and civic leaders who believed higher education should be bold, inclusive, and relentlessly forward-looking. What began as a single faculty of sciences on a leafy urban campus has grown into one of the most respected research universities in the hemisphere.

Today, Nova spans eight faculties, hundreds of research laboratories, and a global network of partner institutions. Our students come from over 80 countries, drawn by our commitment to rigorous scholarship, ethical leadership, and transformative discovery.

The University of Nova opens its doors with 400 students, one faculty of sciences, and a founding promise: to make excellence available to all.

School of Law & Medicine

Two landmark faculties are established, doubling enrolment and earning the university's first national accreditation from the Higher Education Council.

First International Campus

Nova opens a satellite campus in Geneva, formalizing a global research network that now spans 40 cities across six continents.

QS Top 200 Ranking

For the first time, Nova enters the QS World University Rankings, debuting at #187 — the fastest rise by any institution in that decade.

Nova Innovation Hub Launch

The 40,000 sq ft Nova Innovation Hub opens, becoming a launchpad for 60+ startups, three of which have since reached unicorn status.

Carbon-Neutral Campus
